Our Location

EAA Chapter 1167 is located at the beautifully kept Green Sea, SC airfield (S79) owned by members Bud & Shirley Shaw. Green Sea has an ultralight/rc strip as well as a full length (3600') grass runway.

Green Sea airfield is located at 3333 Mt. Olive Church Rd., Green Sea, SC 29545. The field is 2 miles north off Highway 9, 6 miles east of Nichols, SC, 9 miles west of Loris, SC, 8 miles west of Tabor City, NC, and about 35 miles from the golf capital of the world, Myrtle Beach, SC.

Closest aviation fuel is either Whiteville Columbus County (KCPC) or Conway-Horry County (KHYW). Whiteville is known for having some of the least expensive fuel in the country.
