Jesse and Doug are working to update the chapter bylaws. We hope to have a draft ready to present for a vote next month.
Discussed the chapter incorporation status.
The chapter is incorporated.
Rejected pursuit of 501-3C status
Discussed taking over a room in the hanger for project build work.
The available room requires some ceiling work or covering.
No flammable materials or hot work may be conducted in the room.
There were no objections to pursuit of the project room.
The chapter will need a written agreement that will lock in our space utilization (right of usage) with the airport - discuss further next month
Discussed coordinating with a remote control airplane club - Trevor Chance
RC builders are a natural parallel to the EAA and a good way to connect with the young eagles.
Possibility of RC club participation in the chapter fly-in.
Discussed the April Fly-In to be held the last Saturday in april
Airport tenets don't want to co-sponsor the event this year so it will likely just be a chapter event.
The Corvette Club is interested in attending again.
We will set up the car show in a different location to prevent the blocked hanger problem of last year.
Discussed getting trophies from the chapter to award to the best car (President’s Award? People's Choice?).
Discussed the options of buying bar-b-cue or cooking Boston Butts – have sauce from the grocery store on the table.
Discussed the possibility of taking photos of the planes for all attendees that fly-in.
November Fly-in
Discussed the competition to our event and decided to keep it the same date as in the past.
Christmas party
No objections to holding the Christmas party at Mangos during normal business hours (On a Saturday) this year.
Discussed CAP rocketry help
CAP is looking for field recommendations
Anyone interested in help with the rocket launches.
Would the chapter participate in a launch party / cook out?
NO DATE SET - MARCH OR APRIL TIME FRAME
Discussed changing the conference room for the regular meeting.
Option for CAP building space next to where we are now.
Suggestion that the next Quarterly Build meeting take place at a local RC build area
Cox field? Other Conway area location?
Wayne will make the arrangements.
Discussed project options:
Wayne has a restoration project that could be used
Wayne has a partial mini-max kit that could be set up.
Note: Mini-Max plans are now available on line for free (http://www.teammini-max.com/).
Duane knows of plans for an LM-1 - made of covered foam (cheap to build and fly)
The chapter must define ownership agreement for any project the chapter produces. Options are member percentage ownership or a primary owner with member support.
