Meeting Minutes November,
2007
EAA Chapter 1167
Special Note: There was no meeting for December, 2007 so I
wanted to mention the following as an attachment to this
meeting minutes. November’s
meeting date was November 17th, 2007. Twelve days later, on Thursday, November 29th
at 5 p.m., Thomas Sullivan passed away. He will be very much missed.
Treasurer's Report:
- Bank checking
account: October 20, we had a balance of $805.44. On October 22, paid postage for EAA
flyers, $14.76. On October 24th, deposited 7 member’s dues,
$350.00. November 1st,
paid $109.88 for Boston butts. On
November 9th, deposited money for the fly-in which was
$354.00. On November 9th,
deposited 2 member’s dues of $100 and the sale of Jack’s book which was
$1.00. On November 9th, paid Horry Electric $22.75. On November 12, paid
Russell Edwards for BBQ fixings $30.31. That left us a balance on November 17th
of $1432.74. The fly-in grossed $354.00. Our expenses were $293.42. Profit was $60.58.
- Petty Cash: October
20, 2007 we had $97.42 petty cash on hand. October 20thth, donuts cost $10.64.
The kiddy produced $90. On October 30th,
fly-in drinks and fixings cost $129.08. On October 31st, picked
up gas for the Chapter’s mower, $20 plus I donated 6 gallons of my own.
October 30th, ice came to $9.39. October 13th, stamps were
$4.10. As of November 17th,
we have $14.21 on hand and 7 postal stamps.
New Business:
- Duane went over the
fly-in. See the above treasurer’s report.
- We have 3 life
members and 9 that have paid their annual dues. There are currently 15
members.
- Falcon insurance
renewal was voted on and approved for another payment.
- Taxes for Horry
County will be $167.65 this year. Duane advises that he makes them wait
until the last minute.
- John Matthews is
having his fly-in again this year. It is on December 8th.
- Our Christmas dinner
is scheduled for December 1st at Ryan’s by Hwy 544 and Bypass
17.
Old Business:
- Dennis and Wayne
were attending a 16 hour maintenance course on the weekend of the fly-in
so were unable to be there. They
report that the class was excellent and thus the knowledge gained might
very well be useful to the Chapter at large. You can download course materials

- Our Breakfast fly-in
date next year will be the first Sunday in May - May 4, 2008.
