Discussed North Myrtle Beach Area Historical Museum request for aviation hardware for display, anyone able to present a historical presentation about general aviation, or a science-based, hands-on program exploring the principles of flight during the traveling exhibit Katharine Wright: The Other Wright Brother (March 7 through April 26). If anyone is able to support the museum please send an email to EAA1167@gmail.com or contact Doug directly.
Carl provided a lot of great information covering the correct way to sign off a write-up in the aircraft/engine logs. Also covered the 337 and the level of detail that should be included, and left out, of the form.
He discussed the fact that the homebuilt aircraft "anual" is really a condition inspections and that the plans form a part of the aircrafts technical documentation.
We got a refresher in aircraft fastener identification with shome discussion of proper useage of some of the rivet types.
Finally, we discussed the differences in different aloys of aluminum, sheet metal work and coatings for steel and aluminum.
